I am an upholsterer based in Eastbourne, East Sussex.
I love to breathe new life into your well-loved furniture, blending craftsmanship with creativity. I will support you throughout the design process, ensuring that the final fabric chosen will blend in with your existing furniture, or stand out as a statement piece. Functionality is important too, so I will make an assessment of the item’s condition and we can decide together how to restore the inside as well as the outside.
Whether it’s a beloved family heirloom or a contemporary piece in need of a refresh, my goal is to create a harmonious blend of comfort and elegance, leaving you with furniture that tells its own unique story. Let’s embark on this beautiful journey of restoration together!
Training and qualifications
Many upholsterers train up as apprentices and slowly gain skills and experience in the workplace. However, I am taking a ‘fast-track’ approach by studying for a diploma in upholstery from the Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers (AMUSF). I have completed my first year (and I’m very proud to say I was awarded a distinction) and I’m currently working on my second year, out of a total of three years. The course is taught by experts who teach upholstery to the highest standards and builds up skills each year.
